One poem by James Robertson | Seumas MacDhonnchaidh (no established dates) appeared in Alba and one in Guth na Bliadhna in close succession. According to the accompanying note in Alba, the poem was composed in 1919, and Robertson was based in Kinloch, Mull. The poem from Guth na Bliadhna mentions Canada and Mull.
The song ‘Muile nan Craobh’ by John Campbell | Iain Caimbeul (Teònaidh Chailein) mentions James Robertson as a poet from Àird, Ceann Loch Sgrìodain, in Mull, and the archive Tobar an Dualchais includes the song ‘Bodach còir Ghleann Siolastair’ by ‘James Robertson’. I am grateful to Dr Alasdair C. Whyte for these two leads concerning Robertson.
