Bernard FitzPatrick | Mac Giolla Phádraig (29 July 1848, London – 29 May 1937), 2nd Baron Castletown, was a soldier and landowner. An associate of Douglas Hyde, FitzPatrick learnt conversational Irish. Together with Edmund Edward Fournier d’Albe, he co-founded the Celtic Association. The first major Pan-Celtic Congress was held under its auspices in Dublin in 1901: FitzPatrick served as Chairman, Fournier D’Albe as Secretary, and Erskine was one of the Vice-Presidents and a donor to the congress fund.
